Description:
MILESTONE – 146’ Christensen, built in the USA in 2008 – new owner, new program, a real charter machine!
Rates & Plans for 2020 – Based year round in the Virgin Islands and willing to go down island for charters, MILESTONE charters for $165,000 a week + 30% VAT + Gratuity.
Great chef – Personable and outgoing, chef Anthony is from New Jersey and competed in the chef competition; the challenge was to prepare protein three different ways, a starter, main entre, and a dessert.
Captain Vincent is assisted by 9 crew total, all of whom have worked with him for a long time, chef Anthony in particular; they’ve been on three yachts together. Previously captain of the m/y AT LAST, Vincent’s charter guest enlisted him to buy a boat for him, which was Milestone. He’s now been aboard two years. He explains the yacht has a lot of volume for a 146’ yacht; they cater to families and love watersports. Having just completed a charter season in the Mediterranean, Vincent, who is from St. Thomas, loves being back in the Caribbean, where there is great scuba diving, and fishing. A watersports area, the Caribbean is about the sea; the Mediterranean is about the land, and the yacht will stay in the Virgin Islands through July and maybe even beyond.
Sleeps 12 in 6 staterooms: Five cabins are on the lower deck and the master cabin is on the main deck with King berth, the full width of the yacht, with silver sea fan lamps, full beam bathroom in onyx with etched glass shower. Below the two King cabins have removable wall, enabling them to become one full beam cabin, if necessary; there is a small queen cabin, and two cabins forward, one with double and single beds on opposite sides of the cabin plus Pullman, the other with King berth. A wide central foyer with red marble floors connects all the cabins.
Bridge Deck – Enormous sky lounge with onyx semi-circular bar, two curved settees, and a very large bar. This is an enormous room with two sliding doors to the upper aft deck with large circular table, beautifully set with netting and starfish; the stewardesses were competing in the table setting competition, a water theme.
Sun Deck: basketball court, bunny pads, enormous eight-person Jacuzzi, bar with stools under shade, three couches, waterslide, fabulous! Anthony doubles as a yoga instructor, welcoming guests to join him in yoga exercises. When we visited, Vincent was quick to pick up the basketball, and before we knew it, we were all playing hoop!
