Description:
GEORGE V – This lovely 64’ Aicon motor yacht has a fun-loving crew of three, and the yacht is ideal for one to two couples, but families of up to eight may be taken. Based in Athens for charters among the Cyclades May through October, because of the low charter fee of EUR 14,000-16,000 weekly, depending on month, we generally have to collect up to 50% of the charter fee again in APA to cover fuel, food, dockage and bar for cruises out to the Cyclades. Plus there is the usual 12% VAT and Gratuity is not included in the fee.
Gorgeous Main Saloon – We inspected this yacht in May, 2019. The saloon is gorgeous with white carpets, varnished coffee table, fruit bowl, arrangements of orchids, rope tray, window blinds, and dining table forward with galley opposite, plus bridge forward.
Captain Apostolis Katsirintakis loves sailing and is young with lots of energy. Loving fishing, he uses every opportunity to fish and is assisted by Christina, the first mate/hostess, who is energetic, and Vide, the chef, who enjoys preparing traditional Greek food and other kinds as well. Vide can prepare whatever guests want. The two girls, Christina and Vide have worked together for three years and are great friends, very real. An intuitive team, these three enjoy taking people and children out in the tender, snorkeling, paddle boarding tubing, waterskiing and towing.
Sleeps 8 guests in 4 staterooms – With only three guest bathrooms aboard, GEORGE V might be considered best for up to six guests, but there are four guest cabins ex saloon and crew quarters, including a full beam master stateroom below plus a full beam VIP stateroom, and two twin cabins that share one bathroom. One of the twin cabins has an extra Pullman berth as well for parties of nine for a child. Two couples or families of eight are best. Each stateroom has TV, DVD, music, and air conditioning.
Romantic Charters – Apostolos, Christina and Vide excel in romantic charters. An upgrade to the yacht includes a small dining table on the fly bridge, which has proved a popular place to dine, if there are just two people in the guest party, and Christina has served many a romantic dinners up there, which guests enjoy.
Three places to dine – In addition to dining on the fly bridge, the main deck aft offers al fresco dining; the main saloon has a formal dining saloon forward, and there is additional dining on the bow, where there is comfortable seating.
Lots of upgrades – The yacht is available May through October from Athens, Greece.(July and August being high season or EUR 16,000 weekly, the rest of months being EUR 14,000 weekly + 12% VAT + 50% APA + Gratuity.)
