Description:

KORU – The new thing in chartering, the designers of this award-winning, 48’ Bali Catana sailing catamaran have been thinking out of the box, and she’s amazing for people who don’t like air conditioning, yet want to be cool.  The yacht also has two equal master cabins!  The crew offer dive instruction.  The flybridge offers out of door dining!  The bow seating is like no other!  Award-winning chef!

Built in 2020, KORU offers no bulkhead between the cockpit and saloon, so the main deck offers one clear vista from the bow to the stern, offering the best views of the cruising ground.  This compartment is air conditioned with two to three AC units, combining natural breezes with air conditioning for indoor/outdoor living in dehumidified splendor.

The cockpit with beautifully set dining table in turquoise and dark blue combines with the deck saloon to make one large main deck compartment for indoor and outdoor living.  A large dining table is located at the aft end of this compartment, and the galley is located at the forward end, and there’s a door at the forward end that opens to bow seating forward, so you no longer have to walk around the outside of the deck to get forward, as on older-style, charter catamarans.

This door offers direct access into the bow seating, an area covered by a hard top for shade on deck, featuring bench settees and tables for sunset watching.  The bow deck is teak all the way across the hulls with fitted cushions for sunbathing across the width of the boat, offering plenty of room for everybody to stretch out and sunbathe or sit at two coffee tables in the shade….

This door to the bow cockpit lets in lots of Caribbean breezes into the saloon.  Of course there are sliding doors aft that drop down to lock the saloon from the out of doors….

In addition, there’s a wonderful fly bridge on top of the deck saloon, offering additional dining and seating for use during sailing.

Another huge feature of the Bali 48’ sailing catamaran are her two huge master cabins!  KORU sleeps six guests in three staterooms, two of which are Master Cabins, located aft, each with private companionway that leads into the cockpit, and there are interior walkways into the main saloon as well.  So guests are invited for that pre-breakfast swim!

The third guest stateroom is located forward to starboard; the crew sleep forward to port.

All the Queen beds on KORU are the same size; the aft cabins are mirror images of each other, just slightly larger than the third guest queen. All have private ensuite bathroom with stall shower, and plenty of air conditioning, and the guest cabins are beautifully appointed!

James and Cara are your hosts from the UK and Scotland respectively.  Young and in their thirties, James has curly hair and is an avid sportsman.  They offer a range of toys to fill any vibe – snorkeling, fishing, tube, wakeboard, two underwater scooters, scuba diving –

Cara is a dive instructor; James is a dive master – They have tanks aboard and offer scuba instruction.  Guests don’t need any prior dive experience to be able to dive from the ship.  Cara offers Discover Scuba at extra cost.  Diving for certified divers is included in the charter fee.

The crew are familiar with the Virgin Islands.  They are excited to be back in the area!  Cara competed in the culinary cook off during the November 2022 charter yacht show in St. Thomas and won!

KORU sails from St. Thomas and has a BVI cruising permit, so she can sail into the BVI and do just about any itinerary you want.  A St. Thomas based yacht, she prefers to pick up and drop off in St. Thomas but can pick up and drop off in Tortola by special request.  Please inquire.

Sister-ships to KORU include SERENITY (48 feet), and NAE KAE (54 feet).
