NUTMEG – This 50’ St. Francis sailing catamaran, built in 2008 is now offering accommodation for up to eight guests in four inside cabins; the crew are now sleeping forward to starboard which has its door leading from the deck over the bow, leaving guests in complete privacy aft.

Now accommodating 8 guests – Immediately they opened up the yacht’s fourth guest interior cabin to guests, the yacht got three new charters, because each child can have a private cabin.  The two aft Queens cabins have additional single beds outboard of the Queen beds, offering still more versatility for families.  And the master stateroom also has a 69″ Pullman, fold down berth, but the yacht accommodates eight guests max.  But one of those outboard beds is short, for a child only; the other bed is full size for teenagers…. The master cabin is forward to port with couch and bathroom ensuite, plus Pullman….  A beautiful stateroom with towel art, and champagne tray, it’s slightly larger than the other three, although the two aft cabins each have additional berths.  All guest staterooms are air conditioned and have Wifi and television.

Great crew quarters over the bow – Fully air conditioned forward over the bow, the crew cabin is just like a guest cabin, only there’s a ladder to it instead of a door.

Tai Chi – Now offering Tai Chi, Whitey does Tai Chi at sun up; he loves it when people join in.  There is plenty of space on the bow for this.  The hulls have nets between the pontoons forward for sunbathing.

Built in 2008 – In 2018 NUTMEG was pulled out of moth balls by British old-timers Whitey and Max, who aren’t old timers, because they are old; old-timers because they have years and years of charter experience in the Virgin Islands and bring to us a high standard of charter service.

Looking Good – This ten year old boat was left in the yard for a year, but Whitey and Max got her out, and she is looking good; Freezers, fridge, ice makers, all systems are up to standard. Whitey has authorization from the owner to fix anything he sees needs doing;

St. Thomas Pick Ups – Fluent in Spanish, Whitey and Max have a house in Belize and are back in the US Virgin Islands to meet the requirements of their green card.  St. Thomas pickups are encouraged. Yacht is based in Nanny Cay, Tortola, but St.Thomas pick ups are encouraged – available year round from Tortola or St. Thomas for $16,800 weekly to $18,900 weekly  all inclusive for two to eight guests, except $19,790 weekly for Christmas week and $21,700 weekly for New Year’s week for up to eight guests all inclusive.  Gratuity not included.

Dive Instructor – Whitey is a dive instructor with 24 years of diving experience.  Guests do not have to be certified to dive from the ship.  There is a bit of protocol to be followed, but Whitey can take you diving.  No prior dive experience needed!

Each guest cabin has large head and shower; the Master stateroom to port has an additional 69” Pullman for children.

Deck Saloon has dark wood paneling, lots of storage, lots of natural light; it being on the same level as the cockpit, it offers indoor / outdoor living.  Out of door dining is offered.  Whitey is a great griller!

New Stereo and TV – One in every cabin and in the saloon, streamed movies are now available in each of NUTMEG’s guest cabins.  Thanks to hurricane Irma, Satellite TV is no longer available in the BVI, but the Wifi is great!  Good, strong internet is available throughout the BVI.  Satellite TV has been replaced with Roku and streamed movies.  NUTMEG has USB Ports in every cabin, and there is plenty of air conditioning.

New in 2019 – Whitey is doing lots of projects.  New generator, new batteries, new solar panels, new teak table, new stove and oven; getting full awnings on deck; new cushion covers inside and out; a huge refit is underway, and the owners are planning to spend money on her, because the yacht is only years old.

Performance sailing – the yacht is an amazing performance vessel.  Whitey got her up to 14 knots on a passage to Antigua which is too fast for fishing; fish biting the lines at that speed snaps the fishing lines!

Sports Gear – 12’  dinghy with 40 hp, tubes, floating mats, two stand up paddle boards, underwater camera, fishing gear, swim platform, kneeboard, wakeboard, boarding ladder on the stern, one trolling rod plus two large casting rods, plus fishing permit; waterskiis for adults, beach games,  snorkel gear, and scuba diving.

SCUBA Instruction – Whitey is a dive instructor; guests need not have any prior diving experience to be able to dive from the yacht.  The resort course is $150 per novice diver. Whitey dives with guests; guests must rent gear but crew will assist in the process;  tank refills are extra.  Five dives a week are included in the price for certified divers.
