Description:

One of our favorite 62’ Lagoon catamarans, the owner of OCEAN VIEW chose to put teak decks in her cockpit and fly bridge (whereas some Lagoons have fiberglass decks); he chose to put the galley below, aft to port, keeping the cooking out of the saloon, and he chose to have one less guest stateroom in exchange for a super large master cabin with in-room glass shower, separate private WC, couch, and centerline Queen size bed. He also chose to do away with the second, small, upper and lower, twin, crew cabin (for the extra crew, which he doesn’t need, since only six guests are taken) in exchange for one large crew cabin. So the 31 year old Polish captain Pawel and Clare have comfortable private quarters, and they have been aboard for over three years. The saloon does have two coffee tables that fold out to become one large dining table, and while dining in the saloon is an option, you don’t really need to dine here, because the cockpit and fly bridge both have large dining tables and are delightful places to hang out also. So the spacious deck saloon with windows all around becomes a comfortable place to sit with enough casual room for all six guests to gather around and chat in a circle. As well, OCEAN VIEW has one of the most warmly-decorated saloons of all the Lagoons, in my opinion; it has gorgeous fabrics, throws, and pillows, all in good taste, and gorgeous table decorations. The yacht looks like somebody’s home rather than a yacht that has just come out of a factory. During the summer of 2016 the owner installed a platform for kitesurfers, and they purchased an air compressor for scuba divers. While guests do not have to be kitesurfers to charter OCEAN VIEW, Pawel and the owner are both avid kitesurfers – and now divers – and Pawel is a dive master and certified kitesurfing instructor and carries ten sets of kite surfing equipment and dive gear aboard for guests.

OCEAN VIEW is available in off-the-beaten track places. The Grenadine Islands offer beautiful-colored water, great kite surfing, and excellent diving. Over the past three years, the yacht has journeyed back and forth between the Caribbean and Mediterranean, where they have based in Greece, Turkey, and this summer 2017, they will base in Sardinia, Italy.  Available at competitive rates, OCEAN VIEW sleeps six guests in a Master Queen cabin, plus two identical Queen guest cabins, each with private bathroom, and each bed is up stairs, so it can be eye-level with the water and window.
